This was the first big adventure for “offroad”.The truck was still 100% standard off the lot set up.   2023 Toyota Tacoma OffRoad.

The first long drive was to travel to Cape Hatteras Natl Seashore.  Then a day of driving on the beaches in NC wind and dreary clouds. It sounds miserable. Yet, it was so much fun doing something never done before.  Learning how to air down tires and then how to properly use 4WD in the sand. I took it easy by driving behind bigger tires and following others tracks for the first time out.  I only made a few original lines of my own but getting the feel for pace and pull of the tires was a thrill. I know that I have much more to learn, but this was a perfect bite to get hooked. I never expected beach driving or any extended time in the sand to be a desire. My goal was trees, mountain roads, and lakes. Now I am thankful all are near in NC, SC, and VA.
